A description of one of the longest journeys made in Soviet Russia by a writer without political bias in which the author searches for the heart of the people and places that he visits. Written by Sir Laurens Jan van der Post, a South African Afrikaner writer, farmer, soldier, educator, journalist, humanitarian, philosopher, explorer and conservationist.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original price clipped dust wrapper is smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. A price sticker to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Library ink stamp to the reverse of the title page. Ink marks and sticker residue to the front endpaper.
