The first edition, first impression.

John Lennon's entertaining book of nonsense, a collection of poems and short stories, written during the early days of the Beatles' success, and published during the height of Beatlemania.

Lennon's style was much influenced by Lewis Carroll and Spike Milligan.

Illustrated by Lennon throughout.

Bookplate of J. Martin to the front paste down.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Light rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, binding is strained, with a few pages in the middle of the textblock working loose. Pages are bright and clean.
