First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

With original, price clipped, dustwrapper. First edition of this work. This autobiographical work has several pages of illustrations throughout. Arthur Evelyn St. John Waugh was an English novelist, biographer and travel author. He also wrote many articles as a journalist and as a reviewer.

Condition

In a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine. Externally, very smart with bumping and fading to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is smart with small chips to the joints at the head and tail as well as to head and tail of spine. Small marks to the spine. Wrapper is price-clipped. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot throughout.
