Nine beautifully illustrated works from Edward Ardizzone's much loved 'Little Tim' series of children's books, each in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrappers.
The earliest editions in this set are the 1965 fifth printing of the first edition of 'Tim All Alone', and the 1964 third printing of the third edition of 'Tim and Lucy Go to Sea'.
Present also is Sholastic's 1999 edition of 'Little Tim and the Brave Sea Captain'.
And finally, the 2000 printings of 'Tim's Friend Towser'; 'Tim's Last Voyage'; 'Little Tim and the Brave Sea Captain'; 'Ship's Cook Ginger'; 'Tim and Ginger'; 'Tim to the Lighthouse', and 'Tim in Danger'.
Each volume is beautifully illustrated throughout, in colour, by Ardizzone himself.
In 1956, for 'Tim all Alone', the first work in this series, Ardizzone won the inaugural Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association for the year's best children's book illustration.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards, with price unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, fine. The two earliest printings each with bumping to back strip head and tails, and light edge wear to dust wrapper back strip heads and tails. Dust wrappers exceptionally bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
