This novel follows twins Fan and Niss who manage to get into the Ark as stowaways. All is well until they are discovered. The flyleaf notes that 'Although Mr Garnett's story was not conceived as a parable of the dangers we live in today, it could be regarded as one.' First edition, first impression. With original unclipped dustwrapper. David Garnett was a prolific novelist and well known member of the Bloomsbury Group. He is also remembered for founding the Nonesuch Press with his friend Francis Meynell.

Condition

In a full cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart with a small amount of bumping to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is smart with a small amount of chipping to the head and tail of spine. Bumping to the extremities. A few spots to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright. Spots to the first and last few pages. The odd spot to foredge.
