In the original unclipped dustwrapper.

A volume of two essays by James Baldwin, 'My Dungeon Shook' and 'Down at the Cross'.

These two essays were originally published in American magazines in 1962, 'The New Yorker' and 'The Progressive'. They were generally considered to be some of the most influential works on race relations of the 1960s.

Front endpaper has been excised.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A couple of minor marks to the boards and spine. Front endpaper has been excised. Dustwrapper is lightly edgeworn with some chips, tape repaired to the reverse. A few light marks to the wraps. Spine is lightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
