In half morocco bindings with gilt to the spines and the boards.

Includes an anecdote, biography, and history of curiosities of literature and oddities of human life and character. 

With illustrated title pages with red and black engravings. Illustrations throughout the text of both volumes.

Condition

In half morocco bindings with cloth boards. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. The spines are slightly worn. The boards have a few faint marks. The hinges are starting. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
