With the vanishingly scarce original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with six colour folding plates, twenty-five plates, one of which is in colour, and many in-text figures. Collated complete. A detailed travel guide to the country of Egypt, with chapters on geography, history, the Nile, culture, art, and more. With guides to specific areas and cities. Written by Hermann Ziock, a German journalist and travel writer. Produced by Lehnert & Landrock, a photographic studio run by Rudolf Franz Lehnert and Ernst Heinrich Landrock active in Tunisia and Egypt in the early twentieth century, noted for producing Orientalist images.
Condition
In the original yellow cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light wear and minor sunning only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers. The odd small crease to the folding plates.
