Writer and biologist Francis Downes Ommanney fondly recounts his travels and observations made whilst residing in Hong Kong, where he was a reader in marine biology at the University. 

Lacking frontispiece as issued. Illustrated with eight double-sided monochrome plates containing photographs. Collated, complete. 

Condition

In the original wraps. Externally, smart. With slight edge wear and a small closed tear to the front cover. Marks to the wraps and a contemporary ink inscription to the front cover. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
