Written and published by Major Lawrence L. Gordon. A comprehensive history of British battles and medals since the Spanish Armada in the sixteenth century. Including 126 plates, including a colour frontispiece depicting the Waterloo Medal, 1815. Also including a folding plate of a chart identifying medal ribbons. Also including two tipped in additions of 'Addenda and Corrigenda' from the author, one dated August 1964 and one dated December 1966.
Condition
In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with just slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Unclipped dust wrapper is smart and good colour, with some edge wear and chipping to extremities. Internally, front and rear hinges slightly tender but very firm. Book is firmly bound. Internally, slight age-toning to half title page, otherwise pages are very bright and clean.
