The ninth novel in the James Bond series, 'Thunderball' was the first novelisation of an unfilmed James Bond screenplay. The plot was a collaboration of Ian Fleming, Kevin McClory, Jack Whittingham, Ivar Bryce and Ernest Cuneo. 

The first edition, first impression with the original unclipped dustwrapper.

Bond and Blofeld never meet in this novel, but it is the first novel where Bond meets the schemes of his crime syndicate SPECTRE.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Light fading to the extremities. Dustwrapper is very bright. Minor shelfwear to the extremities, and a closed tear to the rear wrap approx 1 inch long. A few light spots internally to the wrap. Light chip to the bottom of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. A few light spots to the fore-edge not affecting the text. The odd spots to endpapers.
