What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

A brightly illustrated retelling of a Puss in Boots. With eight full color pop-up scenes. Six of eight scenes include additional movable elements. Illustrated by Vojtěch Kubašta, a Czech architect and artist, who designed three-dimensional cards to advertise porcelain, sewing machines and pencils. In 1956, he designed his first fairy tale pop-up book: Little Red Riding Hood.

Condition

Coloured illustrated paper over card. Externally, excellent with light shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark. Sticker to first page. Scene four has a small closed tear to the edge of the moveable element which does not interrupt the movement. Scene six also has a small closed tear to the page which does not effect movement of the part. Scene seven has light creases to the top of the pop-up, again, this does not impact the scene.
