A scarce volume that records the history and development of the Horwich Locomotive Works which was built in 1886 by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. The works undertook the repair of steam locomotives and construction of locomotives.

With fourteen photographs of the works, including the machine shop, the boiler shop and the paint shop.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
