What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition, first impression of this work. A satirical and often farcical novel by popular author and philosopher Iris Murdoch. Characteristic of the author's writing, this novel evolves around themes of marriage, adultery, and incest within a group of educated people.
The novel is considered to be a forerunner of the sexual revolution in Britain in the 1960-70s.
Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper.
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely, only minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent, only a minor chipping to the head of the spine and a hint of sunning to the spine and rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
