Clark Ashton Smith's fourth short story collection published by Arkham House, containing a variety of fantasy, horror, and science fiction stories.

Smith was an American author known for his romantic poetry that was highly praised by his contemporaries, including H. P. Lovecraft. Alongside Lovecraft he also produced a lot of weird fiction that was imbued with morbidness.

Published by Arkham House, a noted American publisher of weird fiction, founded to publish the best fiction of H. P. Lovecraft in hardcover. The House was created by two of Lovecraft's friends, August Derleth and Donald Wandrei. Over the years Arkham have become known for the quality of their printing and binding. They also published works by Cynthia Asquith, Ray Bradbury, L. Sprague de Camp, and J. Sheridan LeFanu.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine. Dustwrapper is near fine with a few minor marks, mostly to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
