An abridged German language edition of 'Trimalchio's Feast' from Roman author Petronius' 'Satyricon', translated into German by Wilhelm Heinse, and illustrated throughout by German artist Kurt Craemer.

With vignette illustrations throughout from Craemer, many of which are in colour.

With a particular focus on passages surrounding Trimalchio, the arrogant former slave who became become a wealthy wine merchant in Petronius' tale.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. A touch of minor fading to back strip, with boards exceptionally bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
