The first trade edition of this collaborative work.

Sylvia Townsend Warner, a novelist and poet best known for her works such as Lolly Willowes and Kingdoms of Elfin, has written poems to illustrate the equally enjoyable wood engravings by Stone Reynolds.

Reynolds has several notable credits to his name, such as the engraving of the Royal Arms for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation and the coat of arms for the British Council.

Illustrated with twenty-one engravings to match the number of poems, and two additional engravings to the title and dedication pages.
