Taken from the Wells Archive at the University of Illinois, this is the second collection to feature Wells' correspondence with another author, with the first presenting his friendship with Henry James.
Edited and introduced by Harris Wilson.
The personal copy of English author and artist, Brian Aldiss, with a note loosely inserted signed by Wendy Aldiss. Known for his science-fiction novels, Aldiss was greatly influence by Wells, becoming vice president of the international group in Wells' honour.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's cloth with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is also very smart, with light sunning to the extremities and spine, and the odd mark. Small closed tear to the head of the spine and price label to front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
