First Edition, Pleasing Copy, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of these two volumes, published in 1960 and 1962. Complete in two volumes. 

Hubert Phillips has published various books and contributed thousands of puzzles serially for magazines and newspapers. He selected the content of these books his vast mass of material accumulated throughout the years. 

These volumes comprise something to amuse and mystify anyon; volume one mainly reproducing mathematical or inferential puzzles, while volume two contains more word puzzles and some fascinating exercises in cryptography. 

A highly entertaining set in the unclipped dustwrappers.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear. A faint minor mark to the front board to volume one. The dustwrapper is very smart with only slight shelf wear and minor edge wear. Unclipped. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
