A lovely large paper copy reproducing William Blake's beautiful poem 'Visions of the Daughters of Albion' originally published in 1793. A short and early example of his prophetic books, adorned with his own coloured illustrations. This edition comprises a reproduction of the whole work in facsimile.
One of four hundred and forty six copies printed on Arches pure rag paper made to match that used by Blake. Each page is water marked with Blake's monogram. This is copy number three hundred and twenty six, one of two hundred for the United Stated, distributed by the New York Graphic Society.
Complete with its matching marbled slip case. Folio.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter morocco binding over marbled paper covered boards. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a slight fading to the spine. The slipcase is smart with some shelf wear and chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint scattered spotting throughout. Fully illustrated in colour with reproductions in facsimile of William Blake's illustrated poem 'Visions of the Daughters of Albion.'
