Written by Cecil Day-Lewis under the pseudonym Nicholas Blake. He is the father of the actor Daniel Day-Lewis.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Small mark to the top edge. Dust wrapper is edge worn, particularly to the head and tail of the spine. Light marks to the wraps, including a few spots to the reverse/ Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
