First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of this work.

In the original price-clipped dustwrapper.

An entertaining dossier on St. Trinian's, a humorous work celebrating the school based stories.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and cartoon illustrations by Ronald Searle throughout.

Searle was a leading English satirical cartoonist, best remembered for creating St. Trinian's School.

With contributions by many prominent literary figures of the day, including Cecil Day Lewis and Robert Graves.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the spine. A few faint marks to the boards. The odd spot to the fore edge. Dustwrapper is a little edge worn with some small chips and closed tears. Small tape repair to the reverse. Light spots to the wraps. Backstrip is a little discoloured. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd mark.
