The first edition.

This work was written by Elspeth Huxley and provides a memoir of her childhood growing up in Africa on a coffee farm in Kenya. This work was later adapted into a British television serial under the same title.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with a bookplate to the front free endpaper. The wrap is very smart with sunning to the spine, a very small chip to the head of the rear joint, a small closed tear, marks to the rear and light edge wear. The odd spot and offsetting to the spine to the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
