Steinbeck wrote these articles from June to December of that year, describing the experiences of ordinary people affected by the war, and those who were doing the actual fighting.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, and a couple of very light marks to the board. Dustwrapper is lightly egdeworn with some light marks. Spine is a little discoloured. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
