First abridged edition. Very scarce. A small dictionary of first names with short etymological details of origins and meanings, published with the intention of helping soon-to-be parents pick a name for their new child. Written by Eric Partridge, a New Zealand-British lexicographer of English slang.

Condition

Bound in contemporary green cloth with pictorial paper. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the paper covers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting and the odd pen mark.
