Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Rebound, Scarce, Signed Binding

Starting publication in 1950, the weekly newsstand title has been running ever since, only taking a break during the 2020 COVID pandemic, resuming publication in the same year. Covering motorsport from Formula 1 through to the British club racing scene. With races and daily reports, as well as analysis and in-depth articles on contemporary cars, drivers, and events.

Founded and edited by Gregor J. Grant, he edited this periodical until his death in 1969. The Autosport Magazine Gregor Grant Award for lifetime achievement in the field of motorsport and racing is awarded annually at the Autosport Awards.

The present copy contains Volume XIX, nos. one to twenty-six, covering July to December 1959.

Replete with numerous in-text illustrations. Each number featuring the original colourful wraps.

In full burgundy cloth bound by C.W. Poole & Sons, with their binder's sticker to the front pastedown.

Condition

Rebound in full burgundy cloth. Externally, very smart, with just light shelf wear and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Light age-toning to the extremities and the odd handling mark to the pages, which are otherwise bright and clean.
