Nine first edition copies of the popular Chief Inspector Roger West novels, scarce to see together as a set.

'The Scene of the Crime', and 'Look Three Ways at Murder' are in a price-clipped dust wrapper, all other volumes in an unclipped dust wrapper.

A popular series of police procedural novels by John Creasey, featuring the handsome Inspector Roger West of Scotland Yard. West is a devoted family man with a wife and two sons. 

These exciting novels follow West on many gripping adventures with intriguing plots.

Creasey published a total of forty-two West novels from 1942 to 1978.

This set includes;

'Death of a Racehorse', 1959. One page of adverts to the rear. 

'Death in Cold Print', 1961.

'The Scene of the Crime', 1961.

'Policeman's Dread', 1962. One page of adverts to the rear. 

'Look Three Ways at Murder',  1964.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, seven volumes in the original unclipped dust wrappers, 'The Scene of the Crime', and 'Look Three Ways at Murder' in a price-clipped dust wrapper. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spines. Light spots to the fore edge of 'Magna Carta'. Light spots to the endpapers and fore edge of 'Death of a Racehorse'. Light edge wear and rubbing to the dust wrappers, with some small chips and closed tears, mostly to the head and tail of the spine, dust wrapper for 'Death in Cold Print' less edge worn. Light handling marks and a touch of discolouration to the dust wrappers. Light spots to the wraps of 'Death in Cold Print', including to the reverse. Spots to the reverse of the wraps of 'Policeman's Dread'. Smaller damp stain to the head of the spine of 'Death of a Racehorse', with spots to the reverse. Two small chips to the rear joint of the wrap of 'Look Three Ways at Murder'. 'Murder, London - Australia' dust wrapper a little age-toned with a few spots to the reverse. 'A Part For a Policeman' dust wrapper lightly age-toned, with an ink note to the front fly leaf. A few neat tape repairs to the reverse of 'Magna Carta'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, 'Death in Cold Print' is spotted to the first and last few pages and to the fore edge.
