This work humorously tells of the history, types and personal problems of dogs. Embellished throughout with equally amusing illustrations by Ronald Searle. 

With text by Geoffrey Willans, an English writer and journalist. 

Ronald Searle is a British artist and satirical cartoonist, best remembered for his creation of the gag comic strip 'St Trinian's' and his illustrations for Willan's 'Nigel Molesworth' books.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. In the original clipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent with shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is very smart, with edge wear and a couple small closed tears to the spine head. Light marks to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
