1958 Libellus de Natura Animalium: A Fifteenth Century Bestiary
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
A fine example of the facsimile of this natural history text, which was printed sometime between 1508 and 1512 by Vicenzo Berruerio in Mondovi, Italy.
The work has been attributed to Albertus Magnus, though it is unlikely he had anything to do with it.
Illustrated throughout with woodcuts, this is a charming representation of the early 1500s work.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper vellum. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
