Written by Gore Vidal (1925-2012), an American writer and intellectual known for his wit. He challenged society norms and expectations in his writings, in particular with regards to sexuality and corruption. He also ran for office as a Democrat unsuccessfully twice. His works spanned novels, non-fiction, plays and screenplays, with the most famous of his novels being 'The City and the Pillar', 'Julian', 'Burr' and 'Lincoln'.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper has just a little minor wear to the edges and boards; spine is a touch sunned, but it is otherwise in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
