In 1910, Nikkelsen and Iver P Iversen set off to Greenland to recover maps and a diaries which a previous explorer was supposed to have hidden away before his expedition perished in the desolate inland ice-fields. 

An extraordinary and personal account of an absorbing and often frightening tale of polar exploration.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally lovely. The dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart with only minor shelf wear and a slight edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with various photographs in black and white.
