1957 Through the Gates of Death
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
First published in 1932, this work is very scarce in all contemporary editions. Present here is the very scarce posthumously published second edition.
Dion Fortune was the co-founder of the Fraternity of the Inner Light, an occult organisation that promoted philosophies which she claimed had been taught to her by spiritual entities known as the 'Ascended Masters'. She is recognised as one of the most significant occultists and ceremonial magicians of the early twentieth century.
In this work, Fortune discusses death and the process of dying, drawing from psychological and esoteric theory to explain the stages in the natural process of dying that every soul passes through. She discusses communication with the departed, the overcoming of grief, crossing the threshold, and purgatory.
