The first edition, first impression, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.

MacLean's novel concerns the efforts of an Allied commando team to destroy a seemingly impregnable German fortress that threatens Allied naval ships in the Aegean Sea.

Set on the fictional Greek island of Navarone, MacLean's novel saw a successful screen adaptation in 1961, starring Gregory Peck.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Bumping to spine head, otherwise externally excellent. Chipping and minor loss to dust wrapper back strip head, with significant closed tear to rear wrap, reinforced with tape to the reverse. Small loss of colour to front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
