Illustrated, with ten colour plates total. In addition to this there are numerous monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete. This edition is limited to 1,000 copies. This particular copy is out of series. Written by Frank Tilley, who also wrote works on the Ashmolean Museum glass collections, and principal marks on Continental Porcelain of the eighteenth century. With chapters on the origin of teapots, the development of the style of teapots and how teapots and tea related to literature. A bright copy of this work.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Patches of damp staining to the rear board. Spine is faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
