A facsimile collotype edition of this collection of colour plated by Paul Klee from the Richard Doetsch-Benziger Collection in Basle. Translated from the Swiss original by Robert Allen and Margaret Reed. 

Paul Klee was a Swiss-born German artist, renowned for his highly individual style influenced by artistic movements such as expressionism, cubism, and surrealism. He deeply explored colour theory and produced many writings on the subject. his works show his childlike perspective and dry sense of humour, his musicality, and his emotions. 

With ten colour plates.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper vellum and cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelfwear only. The odd faint spot to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Complete with ten colour plates.
