The first edition of this work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. Unusually good condition. 'A Time to Keep Silence' is a travel work discussing a handful of monasteries, Abby of St. Wandrille, Solemes Abbey, and La Grande Trappe. Illustrated with eight plates. Written by Patrick Leigh Fermor, a British author and polygot.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A couple of light marks to the boards. Dustwrapper with some edgewear, resulting in a very small amount of loss to the head of the spine. A few light marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
