A systematic and extensive list, presented in a simple form for the layman or amateur ornithologist. The scientific nomenclature is modernised, and colloquial names offered as a standard for the part of Africa. 

Illustrated with two full coloured plates by D. M. Reid Henry, as well as some maps (one of which is folding.)

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The dust wrapper is price clipped and smart with some shelf wear and edge wear, as well as a slight chipping to the head of the spine and to the extremities. With some minor closed tears to the wraps, one of which has been tape repaired internally, not affecting the externals. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with two full coloured plates, some maps throughout (one of which is folding.)
