The English Cathedral through the centuries is an authoritative volume on English churches. The work explores the Mediaeval Cathedral and its purposes, the development of the Cathedral plan, early English Gothic churches, Perpendicular Gothic Churches and restoration of churches. With 115 plates and 28 plans. 

English Collegiate Churches which is a church or chapel in which the governing body was a band of priests whose duties were to recite the canonical hours. With 55 plates and 33 plans.

Collated, complete. 

Both are in the original unclipped dust wrappers.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally lovely with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine of The English Cathedral. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Both are in the original unclipped dust wrappers which are very smart with some creasing to the extremities and fading to the spines.
