This work was written by Edward Moxon and provides a satirical depiction of retired senior officers. The novel follows an elderly Brigadier who tries to compensate his poor pension by taking on a job in the book trade.

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper.

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely with only slight bumping to the head of the spine. Author's signature to the front free endpaper. The wrap is very smart with sunning to the spine, marks to the rear and a small closed tear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages.
