The Paris Commune was a far-left revolutionary socialist government that controlled Paris from March until May 1871, shortly after the end of the War. The Franco-Prussian war was a war in which a a coalition of German states led by Prussia defeated France, marking the end of French hegemony and the creation of a unified Germany under Prussia.
Complete with twelve colour plates, sixteen black and white plates, and thoroughly illustrated in-text throughout.
Condition
In the publisher's original brown leatherette binding with titles stamped in gilt to spine and decorative stamp to front board. Externally excellent, with minor shelfwear only. and slight bumping to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Minor faint age toning to gutters due to the type of paper, test and illustrations remain bright and clean. Complete with twelve colour plates, sixteen black and white plates, and thoroughly illustrated in text throughout.
