1956 A History of the English Speaking Peoples
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
The first illustrated edition, in the deluxe cloth binding.
A smart copy of this important historical study, written by Winston Churchill. Churchill excelled in studying history and he had a firm belief in a 'special relationship' between the British people and its Commonwealth, and the United States. This work is split into four volumes: 'The Birth of Britain', 'The New World', 'The Age of Revolution' and 'The Great Democracies'.
'A History of the English-Speaking Peoples' is Churchill's history detailing the life of Britain and its former colonies throughout the world.
Churchill covers from Caesar's invasions of Britain, up to the end of the Second Boer War.
A very smart set of this work.
