Very scarce work. Illustrated with one hundred and sixty full-page colour images after original watercolours. Collated complete. Claiming to be among the most accurately drawn and most beautifully printed of works, this charming collection of images of wild flowers contains notes on each species and the conditions at which they will thrive. Written by Sheila Littleboy, a British botanist. With a preface by Cyril Dead Darlington, an English biologist, cytologist, geneticist, and eugenicist. Illustrated by Elsa Felsko, a British artist and illustrator.

Condition

In the original full yellow cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and small marks to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and the odd mark. The odd small closed tear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper dated 1957.
