The first editions, first impressions, of these works.

Complete in four volumes. 

'A History of the English-Speaking Peoples' is Churchill's history detailing the life of Britain and its former colonies throughout the world.

Churchill covers from Caesar's invasions of Britain, up to the end of the Second Boer War.

Illustrated with the occasional full-paged map throughout the four volumes.

Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'.

Without the original dustwrappers.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards and spines. Light spots to the fore edges. Boards of Volume I are slightly cocked. Head of the front board of Volume II is a little faded. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown of Volume IV. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, though Volume II has some spotting.
