Illustrated with the occasional full-paged map throughout the four volumes.
Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, Volumes I, II, and III in the original unclipped dustwrappers, Volume IV in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards and spines. Light spots to the fore edges. Bookseller's label to the rear pastedown of Volume I. Dustwrappers for Volumes I, II, and III are repaired to the reverse. Light edgewear and minor spots to the dustwrappers. Small tidemark to the reverse of the dustwrapper of Volume I. A little discolouration to the wraps. Pricing sticker to the front flyleaf of Volume IV. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some spots.
