First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

In three volumes, being Volumes I, II, and III.

Volume I is the second edition, published in 1956. Volume II is the fourth edition, published in 1965. Volume III is the first edition, published in 1957.

'A History of the English-Speaking Peoples' is Churchill's history detailing the life of Britain and its former colonies throughout the world.

Churchill covers from Caesar's invasions of Britain, up to the end of the Second Boer War.

Illustrated with the occasional full-paged map throughout the three volumes.

Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'.

Without the original dustwrappers.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards. Light spots to the fore edges. Boards of Volume III are a little cocked. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
