Description

Illustrated

Comprising of 23 complete volumes, being volume 1-23 bound in 11 clothbound volumes. The run is from August 1956- August 1979 complete. All volumes are illustrated throughout. One of the notable assistant editors of Veteran and Vintage was Michael Sedgwick. Sedwick became editor in 1959, four years into the Magazine's publication. The magazines are illustrated throughout, with numerous examples of the history and development of motor-vehicles. Articles refer to the history of certain car types, features on specific models and more.

Condition

In a mixture of blue bindings. The first five volumes are in an imitation leather binding. The final six volumes are in blue buckram. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of spines. Slight fading to the spines of volumes 8-11 (actual vols 15-23). A few marks to boards. Front hinge to volume I is slightly strained but firm. Prior owner's inscription to the front pastedown of volumes 1-3 (actual vols 1-5), 'John B Allaway'. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots.
