What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first trade edition of this work, published in the same year as a limited edition of two-thousand copies.
In 1924, Lawrence enlisted in the British Royal Air Force under the assumed name 3522087 Ross. This volume comprises his memoirs during that time, written in a diary he kept to record the lives of enlisted men. The book was left unpublished until after the author's death at his own wish, due to the people mentioned in the writings. Lawrence personality really comes through in this sparse prose, with sharp observations.
Edited by Lawrence's brother.
With original dust wrapper, price clipped.
Two newspaper articles concerned with Lawrence loosely inserted.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with light bumping to head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper price cliped and very smart with minor shelf wear only, lightly marked. Internally, firmly bound.
