What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first trade edition of this work, published in the same year as a limited edition of two-thousand copies.
In 1924, Lawrence enlisted in the British Royal Air Force under the assumed name 3522087 Ross. This volume comprises his memoirs during that time, written in a diary he kept to record the lives of enlisted men. The book was left unpublished until after the author's death at his own wish, due to the people mentioned in the writings. Lawrence personality really comes through in this sparse prose, with sharp observations.
Edited by Lawrence's brother.
With original dust wrapper, unclipped.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and a minor fading to the spine, only a minor damp marking to the lower right corner of the front board. The dust wrapper is unclipped, with minor shelf wear and a touch of sunning to the spine, light soiling to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. A minor spotting to the fore edge, otherwise the pages are bright and clean.
