This is a fast-paced adventure novel for children detailing a plot to kidnap a native prince who is studying in England.

Derek McCulloch OBE (1897-1967) was a BBC Radio presenter and producer, nicknamed 'Uncle Mac' on features in Children's Hour and Children's Favourites; he was the head of children's broadcasting between 1933 and 1951. He also penned 'Every Child's Pilgrim's Progress', a simple Pilgrim's Progress for children, as well as a number of other volumes for children.

This is a first edition of this work, with an inscription and signature from the author under both his name and nickname.

Condition

In a full cloth binding. Externally very smart, minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is unclipped, with the occasional tape repair and the odd chip. Author's inscription to the title page.Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean bar the odd spot.
