The first edition, first impression of this work, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.

The novel takes place at Brinkley Court, the home of Bertie's fearsome Aunt Dahlia, who is intent on selling her weekly magazine, 'Milady's Boudoir'.

Published in the US the following year, under the title 'Bertie Wooster Sees It Through'.

With a contemporary inscription to the front free endpaper.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Light shelf wear to spine tail, otherwise externally excellent. Inscription to front free endpaper. Small loss to dust wrapper back strip head, with edgewear to back strip tail. Closed tear to fold of rear flyleaf, with a touch of discolouration to rear wrap. Small closed tear to head of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
